Every so often, certain areas seem to become a focus for UFO activity. Whether this means there are more UFOs, more reported UFOs or more people mis-identifying normal phenomena is open to conjecture.
A wave of UFO encounters struck the small town of Bonnybridge, near Falkirk in Scotland, during 1992. Nineteen ninety-four produced many sighting, including the following where an object was filmed.
On Wednesday January 19th twenty-seven-year-old Jim Rogers left nearby Larbert by car to journey back to his home about a mile away. His attention was drawn to a very bright white object low in the night sky. It seemed to be following his car, then as he approached a junction, the interior of his vehicle was flooded with light.
Rogers accelerated away and upon reaching home dashed inside. There he demanded that his mother, father, brother and wife come outside and look. They saw he was extremely upset and so did as he asked. There they saw a strange light, and his wife, Linda rushed inside and produced her video camera. The object was filmed. The witnesses all agree it was unlike anything they had seen before (residents of Bonnybridge are used to aircraft lights).
A study of the film by ufologist Malcolm Robinson revealed a cylindrical-shaped object within the light. A check with local airports and companies who fly helicopters indicated that a terrestrial aircraft was not the culprit.
