I can only surmise as to why many ghost experiences occur while one is inside the comfort rooms. It may be the silence that one is accustomed to when entering either the women's or the men's room or the fact that these rooms are rarely occupied especially in commercial and office establishments. The peak hours are quite predictable in the morning, during lunch breaks and after office hours. During the in-betweens, only a few people would enter the restrooms at the same time.
My friend and I often arrive at the office at an early time in the morning. After putting our things away, the first thing on our agenda is to go to the ladies' room. Since we were connected with a private firm, the normal working hours begins at 8:30 am to 9:00 am. It was not, therefore surprising that we have the comfort room to ourselves so we take our time in freshening up.
One morning, while my friend was busy rummaging through her vanity bag and as I was brushing my hair, we heard the toilet flush in one of the cubicles. My friend asked me if I was the one who flushed it. I was taken aback by her question since we I was on the other side of the sink and she can see me standing there.
She looked up and then we stared at each other with puzzled looks. We both looked at the cubicle where we heard the flushing sound and sure enough, water was still being suctioned down the bowl. Again, we wondered since the toilets installed there are not automatic so there is no way that it could have flushed by itself. We got goosebumps on our skin and hurriedly went out of the room.
